Augusta 1 is the first of six planned two-story buildings on QTS's Augusta campus (Project Eisenhower) at 2865 Gordon Highway in Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia, directly adjacent to Fort Eisenhower (formerly Fort Gordon) and U.S. Army Cyber Command. The building is planned at about 300,000 sq ft (Baxtel estimate); QTS expects to complete it in spring 2028. Site clearance and earthmoving ran through late 2025 into 2026.
T5 Data Centers announced the project in January 2022 (DRI 3715); QTS, operating through Eagle South LLC, took it over and expanded the plan to six buildings. The 170-acre parcel is recorded on this building.
Power
Georgia Power (Southern Company) serves the site from an adjacent substation, and the parcel is bounded by 115 kV and 230 kV transmission lines. Georgia has no RTO/ISO load-interconnection queue; large loads are arranged directly with the utility under Georgia PSC oversight.
