Data Center Campus
Texas-based developer HCI DP Land Acquisition LLC has submitted plans to build a data center complex on a 250-acre former quarry site along Wagner Street in South Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The project includes two single story data centers, spanning roughly 401,800 and 195,000 square feet, and an electricity substation. The developer originally planned to build warehouses on the Pennsy Supply property, but local residents strongly opposed that idea. The sudden shift to data centers has sparked fresh anger, leaving neighbors feeling "blindsided" at a recent township meeting while local officials scramble to set zoning rules.
