Normandy 1 (Normandie 1) is the first data center on Orange's 18-hectare Val-de-Reuil campus at 7 Voie de l'Orée in Eure, Normandy. Orange launched the project in 2009 with APL as designer and builder. The 16,000 m² (172,223 sq ft) building holds 5,000 m² (53,820 sq ft) of computer rooms in four halls arranged as two independent pairs; halls 1 and 2 went live in June 2012 and halls 3 and 4 were delivered between 2013 and 2015. Orange inaugurated the site in October 2013.
It was the first data center in France cooled by direct outside-air free cooling, backed by mechanical cooling above 21 °C, and is designed to Tier IV availability with three days of autonomy on site generation. It hosts Orange business and consumer services and the group's own information systems. Its sister building, Normandy 2, opened on the same campus in 2022.
