Microsoft DUB06 opened in 2015 as the first building on Microsoft's second Grange Castle campus in Clondalkin, west Dublin. It sits east of DUB07 and DUB08.
The single-storey building covers 21,350 m² (229,800 sq ft). Microsoft won permission in 2013 for a larger 35,000 m² design, then cut it to the built size in 2014.
Cooling
Rooftop air handling units cool the data halls with outside air. Evaporative cooling supports them on the hottest days.
Utility
ESB Networks serves the campus from the Kilmahud 110 kV customer substation on site. EirGrid operates the transmission system. No behind-the-meter generation serves DUB06.
Backup Power
Fifteen standby generators back up the data halls. Microsoft converted the campus generators from diesel to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) in 2023 and 2024.
Campus
Microsoft runs twelve data centres at Grange Castle, from DUB03 (2009) to DUB15, plus the stand-alone DUB11.
