Google is developing its fifth data center building at its Midlothian, Texas campus, known as Sharka Data Center Building 5. The project is a 288,000 sq ft, one-story facility backed by an $880 million investment, with construction beginning in January 2026 and completion targeted for February 2027. Located at 3441 Railport Parkway, the development forms part of Google’s broader expansion of its North Texas data center hub and supports growing cloud and AI infrastructure demand.
